Teacher & Staff Luncheon- Thursday, June 13 Let’s thank our amazing WHS teachers and staff for a fabulous year! Donations and help with setup and cleanup are needed for the End of Year Teacher and staff luncheon. The PTSA is catering El Fresco, but would like donations of sodas, fruit, and gift cards ($10 value) as a thank you for the tremendous effort put forth by our WHS teachers and staff. Donations are needed by Wednesday, June 12 at 2pm, so we can prep for the event. Please signup HERE!

Westfield High School PTSA Needs YOU! Would you like to be more involved in supporting WHS? For the 2019-2020 school year, the PTSA has openings for: Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary. We are also looking for Chairs for Landscaping, Silent Auction, Back to School Night Bulldog Café, Mulch Days Fundraiser, and Class of 2020 All Night Grad Party. Dance Team Fundraiser: Please support the WHS Dance Team at our carwash on Sunday, June 9 from 10am – 2pm at the Sully Station Exxon on Westfields Blvd.
The Westfield High School Varsity Dance Team is doing kids birthday parties and Brownie dancer badge workshops to fund raise for Nationals. If you know of any families with young children who may be interested, please spread the word. See attached flyers for details or contact Coach Jessica Davis at westfieldhsdanceteam@gmail.com.

Math Refresher Camp- Aug. 5-9 (9am-11am) The math refresher camp is an exciting summer program tailored specifically to the math class the student is taking in the fall (Algegra I and II, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus A-B). Sign up for the course that is right for you. Transportation is available from Stone Middle School and Carson Middle School (spots are limited). Signup HERE!

Three Day Bulldog Bootcamp- Aug 12 - Aug 14 from 9am-12:30pm Open to all rising 9th grade students at WHS! Bulldog Bootcamp is staffed by faculty and student leaders, as well as administrators and counselors! This provides a great opportunity to meet important leaders and make connections within Westfield before school starts. Activities & Events Student leaders will take participants on guided tours of Westfield HS, and include answers to important questions. Which stairwells are most crowded? Where do the freshmen hang out? What is a subschool? What about lockers? Where do I go to get questions answered? etc. Bulldog Bootcamp is truly a great opportunity to start off on the right foot at Westfield High School. For more information and registration, click HERE!

Student Parking Passes- Starting Thursday, June 6 at 3:30pm The online parking application process will open on Thursday, June 6 at 3:30 PM for all those interested in obtaining a hang-tag to park on campus during the 2019-2020 school year. All students currently holding a valid driver's license or learner’s permit are eligible to apply. The application process can be reviewed on the Westfield website, where a link to complete the online application packet (using your FCPS Google account) will be available. Parking applications should be completed at home by the student, with a parent or guardian. The current parking rate set by the FCPS School Board, is $200 per school year which will be pro-rated per quarter. Students receiving free/reduced lunch are eligible for a discount with proof of benefit. Rising Juniors and Seniors will first have the opportunity to turn in completed student parking applications on Monday, June 10th from 7:10 AM to 8:00 AM at the F102 security office located in the main lobby. Applications will not be accepted during class periods or lunch. Please refer to the website for all further information regarding turn-in times, deadlines, and a schedule of safety meetings. WHS Food Pantry: If you are able to make a donation of pasta, rice, canned vegetables, granola bars, cereal or other non-perishable items you may reach out to Ms. Johnson in D209, Ms. Bristol in B205, Ms. Violett in subschool 3, or Mrs. Williams in student services. 2019 Summer Reading-Westfield Reads!ALL Westfield students, teachers, and staff will be reading the same book this summer: Long Way Down, By Jason Reynolds Read this exciting novel before the first day of next school year! Sixty seconds—the time it takes for Will to decide whether or not he’s going to murder the guy who killed his brother. As he rides the elevator from the 7th floor to the lobby, Will is confronted by the ghosts of his past who force him to think about the consequences of his ultimate decision. Will he avenge his brother’s death and change his own life forever?

New Athletic Uniform Vendor Starting June 1, WHS will be using a new vendor for our PE uniforms, Athletic Union. You can purchase WHS gym apparel online starting June 1-June 30 in order to receive your items by the beginning of the school year. Click HERE!

WHS 20th Anniversary In an effort to raise funds for next school year’s anniversary celebration, we are starting a "20 for 20 Campaign". We ask families within the Westfield community to give back to the school that has given so much to your children over the years. With a simple donation of $20, you can help us recognize the commitment of our teachers, the achievements of our students past and present, and what we hope will be an enduring legacy of Westfield High School.
