Westfield Theatre Presents: Rock of Ages April 26, 27, May 3, 4 at 7pm and April 28 at 2pm Tickets $10 online or $12 at the door: https://www.itickets.com/events/421880 As the sun sets on the L.A. Strip, rock 'n' roll comes alive inside the doors of the Bourbon Room. Lonny (Harry Schlatter) emcees this rockin' '80s story as busboy Drew (John Henry Stamper) strives for the attention of aspiring actress Sherrie (Keeley Rogers) and rock stardom. But the owner of the renowned bar, Dennis Dupree (Josh Moore), doesn't have time to notice his talent as he receives word that the strip has been rezoned, dooming all rock venues for demolition. The father-son city developing duo Hertz (Braeden Anderson) and Franz (Alan Gutierrez-Urista) have convinced the mayor to embrace their “clean, efficient living” initiative, to the dismay of the mayor's rock enthusiast assistant, Regina (Faith Cho). Dennis books rock sensation Stacee Jaxx (Colin Brown) to save the Bourbon Room and keep rock alive in L.A. When the big shot rolls into town, he drives a wedge between potential lovers Drew and Sherrie. With impending demolitions and the struggles of young love, the people of the Strip are still “looking for nothin’ but a good time” in this electrifying tale of Rock of Ages. The cast and crew of Westfield Theatre's Rock of Ages will be collecting donations for Shelter House at each performance. Shelter House is an organization that works to provide for families in need. A collection bin will be at the ticket sales table in the lobby before each show. Possible donations include shampoo, conditioner, feminine hygiene products, toothpaste, toothbrushes, toilet paper, household cleaning items, laundry detergent, etc. Visit shelterhouse.org for the full list of items they need. For more information, visit https://www.westfieldtheatre.com/ or email westfieldtheatreboosters@gmail.com. Thank you for your support!

Mulch Days Volunteers Needed: Bulldog Parents, Coaches & Club Leaders We need your help to make Mulch Day a success! What the heck is Mulch Day? It’s the primary fundraiser for the PTSA that funds a large chunk of the All Night Graduation Party for the senior class and many other PTSA initiatives. We deliver over 13,000 bags of mulch to approximately 400 homes in the Westfield boundary in two days. It takes a huge number of people – students & parents – to pull this off. Does my kid’s specific club or team benefit? Yes! Students and parents can designate two clubs or teams to support. A pot of $6,000 is split amongst the clubs/teams that participate based on hours worked! And, your kid gets volunteer hours! How can you help? Volunteer for 4 hours in one of these time slots : Shift #1: Friday, 4/26 - 4-8pm Shift #2: Saturday 4/27 - 7-11am Shift #3: Saturday, 4/27 - 11am-3pm Parents DO NOT need to lift mulch bags! The students do the heavy lifting! Here are the jobs we need filled: 1. Navigators for our Mulch Delivery Trucks – You ride shotgun in a delivery truck, follow printed route to the delivery addresses, manage the kids unloading the truck, count the bags for accuracy and move on to the next home. This is a critical job – it’s fun working with the kids but you need to pay close attention to correct delivery addresses and number of bags delivered. 2. Drivers of Students – Drive students and follow the delivery trucks to the delivery homes. You may have kids you know or may be matched up with kids who just need a ride. You can choose to stay in your car or jump out and help – totally up to you! Click here to sign up today ! If you are unavailable to volunteer your time, we need food donations to feed all these hungry workers! Click here to donate food! For any questions you have about how Mulch Day works, visit our FAQ page at: http://ptsa.westfieldhs.org/parents/mulch-event/angp-mulch-faq.html or simply click here .

Blood Drive: Thank you to all the students and adults who donated blood March 28 & 29. We ended up getting 165 units of blood! For perspective, the average drive done at a business is approx. 30. So we did great! Chantilly beat us by about 40 however, so next year we will push even harder. Either way, it was a great drive and our school did a great thing and we should all be very proud. Thank you! Class of 2020
