Parents of 2019 Graduates: The Westfield High School PTSA is holding a Countdown To Graduation Meeting for parents next Tuesday, March 5 in the Westfield High School cafeteria at 6:00 PM. This meeting will provide a great deal of information regarding graduation for our seniors.

The agenda will include:

· Mulch Day

· All-Night Grad Party

· Information from Balfour

· Graduation information from WHS Administration

· Graduation and Class information from class officers

· Senior Dues Collection ($80)

Please park in the faculty or student lot and enter the building through entrance 11.

Mulch Days Volunteers Needed: Mulch Days are just two short months away and we need your help! The delivery dates this year are Friday, April 26th and Saturday, April 27th. It takes hundreds of student and parent volunteers to make this event a success - please sign up today!  We will have over 13,000 bags of mulch to deliver.

New this year:  Hours that parents work will earn money for the teams/clubs that you would like to support, just like the students.  A pot of $6,000 will be split amongst the teams & clubs that work Mulch Days. You can choose up two clubs/teams on the drop-down menus on the Sign-Up Genius.  

The student, parent and food signups are all on one Sign Up Genius under different tabs.

Dance Team Fundraiser: The Westfield High School Varsity Dance Team is doing kids birthday parties and Brownie dancer badge workshops to fund raise for Nationals. New Tutoring Program – Bulldog Blitz!: This year, we replaced BITS with Bulldog Blitz. Bulldog Blitz is a FREE tutoring program for students currently enrolled at Westfield HS. Students seeking assistance with homework or other assignments work with Westfield HS student volunteers who previously mastered the content. The sessions will be held in the library from 10: 00 am to 11:00 am on the following dates:

May 11, 18

To register for Bulldog Blitz you can bring your Emergency Care Card to the session, or email your Emergency Care Card to jpsimmons@fcps.edu, or give your Emergency Care Card to your counselor. For more information about Bulldog Blitz, contact your counselor or Mr. Simmons, Assistant Principal at 703-488-6341.

Pre-Med Club Fundraiser: Everyone needs to eat! Please support the Pre-Med Club on Monday, March 11 from 4-9 pm at Foster’s Grille, 5007-E Westone, Chantilly.

WHS Food Pantry: If you are able to make a donation of pasta, rice, canned vegetables, granola bars, cereal or other non-perishable items you may reach out to Ms. Johnson in D209, Ms. Bristol in B205, Ms. Violett in subschool 3, or Mrs. Williams in student services.

NOVA Regional College Fair: George Mason University Presents the Northern Virginia Regional College Fair. Wednesday, April 3 from 6:30pm – 8:30pm Eagle Bank Arena, George Mason University Fairfax Campus. High School Juniors! Military Night: All students and families are encouraged to attend MILITARY NIGHT to learn about military service and post-secondary educational opportunities. Wednesday March 6 7pm – 8:30pm in the WHS Cafeteria. Confirmed participants include: United States Air Force Academy, United States Coast Guard Academy, United States Merchant Marine Academy, United States Military Academy, United States Naval Academy, Virginia Military Institute, Virginia Tech Corps of Cadets, ROTC Program Navy, Air Force, and Marines, Recruiter: Army, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, and Marines. Sponsored by the Student Services Departments at Centreville, Chantilly, and Westfield High Schools.

2^nd Annual International Night: We invite you to Westfield’s second annual International Night on Thursday March 7^th at 6:00pm. We will begin with food tasting at 6pm in the cafeteria and then head over to the auditorium at 7pm for several student performances.

The SGA has worked a great deal to build off their successful debut last year and look forward to some incredible booths, food and performances. We would be honored to have you join us this year as we work to bring together not only members of our school, but our entire Westfield pyramid community.

All Night Grad Party: Seniors will celebrate with their friends at Uptown Alley and Autobahn Indoor Speedway in Manassas! This safe, all-inclusive, lock-in style event is from 12AM-4AM. Online registration will begin in early March on the PTSA website (www.ptsa.westfieldhs.org). Many volunteers are needed to make this a successful event. Please contact Becky Martin, ANGP Chair, ANGP-co-chair1@westfieldhs.org, if you are interested in volunteering before and/or during the event.

Easy ways to Support Westfield – Please note that Giant and Harris Teeter require yearly registration!

• Harris Teeter: Register your VIC card at this link   Our school code is 8134. You must reregister each year. 
• Giant: Program restarts September 7th. The program requires yearly registration. Please update your card (and encourage your friends and families to also) and select Westfield as your school of choice. Westfield’s code is 03798.  Simply log in at the Giant website, then “manage my account” and register Westfield. You may register up to two schools. Thank you!
