Here are several updates we know about from around the school:

1. Class of 2018 Yard Signs: This is a last minute fundraiser for the class of 2018! For the first time (ever? In a long time, definitely), the PTSA is offering Class of 2018 families a chance to order yard signs congratulating their graduating student! The firm deadline (no exceptions) to order is Wednesday, 5/24. Unfortunately, this cannot be extended. To order, see the attached order form. Please drop off the order form and payment ($20, cash or check made to “WHS PTSA)  to the main office by 3:00 pm on Wednesday. If you send in an order with a student, please be sure that they drop it off. The signs will be ready June 8^th.
2. All Night Grad Celebration: Tickets for the 2018 ANGP are currently only $75! The price goes up to $85 on May 28^thand NO tickets will be sold after June 6^th.  Don’t delay!  Click here to order! Don’t miss this Westfield tradition!  This year’s event will return to the fantastic Uptown Alley and Autobahn! For all details, visit here!  Please remember that in addition to purchasing a ticket, all attendees need permission forms. These are also available by clicking above.
3. Class of 2018 All Night Graduation Celebration: Volunteers are still needed! Underclass parents are especially needed to help with set up. As of today, no one has signed up for these particular openings. To see what spots are still open and to sign up, please click here!
4. 2018-2019 PTSA Open Positions: There are a number of open PTSA positions for next school year! Please consider giving a little of your time to help make the PTSA (the academic boosters) successful! We need you! Open are: 1^st Vice President (support the President), 2^nd Vice President (programming), Membership, Bulldog BBQ and Silent Auction (this need is urgent as planning needs to begin), Mulch Sale, Parent Programs, Publicity, and SAT practice tests. 5. Math Refresher Camp: The annual math refresher camp returns this August 6^th – 10^th! This is a free refresher camp is open to any Westfield student. Registration is required and the deadline is July 9^th. To register or for more information, see the attached registration form.
6. Teacher Appreciation Dessert Bar Thank Yous: The PTSA would like to thank everyone who donated a dessert to the Teacher Appreciation Dessert Bar! And thank you to Jennie Joiner, Vanessa Moore, and Jennie Ryman for organizing the event!
7. Interact Club Pajama and Book Drive: Many children don’t have pajamas to change into at night or a book to read at bedtime. The Interact Club at WHS hopes you will consider donating a pair of pajamas or books to the cause. All donations will be given to the Pajama Project. To donate, please send new books or pjs (top/bottom style) to the SGA room through May 25^th. Information can be found at this website. 8. Internet Safety Program: The FCPS Parent Resource Center is sponsoring an internet safety program on Friday, June 1^st from 10 am to Noon at the Dunn Loring Center for Parent Services.  To register, click here.
9. 2018-2019 new schedule change process: Please ensure that your student makes appropriate class choices. New for the next school year: there will be no schedule changes permitted between June 11^th and the 3^rd week of the new school year.
10. Rising Freshman Boot Camp registration open: The annual Bulldog Boot Camp for rising 9^th graders will be held August 13^th-15^th from 9 am to noon each day. The deadline to register is August 1^st and there are no refunds. The registration form is attached. If your student will be participating in marching band, please do not register for the boot camp as band students learn the information and more during band camp.
