Reflections Program 2011-2012 Award Winners Have Been Chosen For Fairfax County Cluster 8

Westfield High School submitted entries for Fairfax County Cluster 8 judging in three of the five art categories (Literature, Photo, Visual Arts) and swept first place in each case! The work these students submitted will now go on to District level judging which covers Fairfax County, Arlington County and the cities of Alexandria, Falls Church and Fairfax.

WHS PTA 2009-2010 Reflections Program Award Winners Have Been Awarded!

This year there were 27 entries in the various art categories that make up the Reflections Program. The works submitted that won First Place will now go on to County level judging. The following students submitted work that was selected for recognition based on their individual interpretations of the theme “Beauty is….”:

ALL FIVE of our entries won the Council level (competing with other schools in Cluster 8) and were forwarded to the District level where they competed against art work from the other seven clusters in Fairfax County, Arlington, Alexandria, and Falls Church.

Four out of five of the Westfield entries were recognized at the District level.  One, Michael Eckenrode in the Photography category, will go on to compete at the State level.
